I bought Q-Jays a couple of months ago. Great sound and even better fit. But I am going through filters every couple of weeks. I know that this is endemic to ECH, including my Etymotics.
But I found that you can wash and reuse the filters. Put them in a small jar with warm water and a drop of soap. Swish around for a few minutes. Take 'em out and let them dry overnight. They still stick into the headphone. While you're at it you can clean out the rubber ear thingamagig at the same time.
