I just stumbled across a jack that goes in the wall like a light switch with volume controls and as a new homeowner I had an intense desire to put one in the bathroom. Is this idea a winner or should I save my dollars?

Oh yeah! Headphones where ever you go. If it could be spent on Audio gear instead, I would go there.

Considering that thing is an amplifier itself, I think you could better sound quality by getting a full-on bathroom rig.

Just how much time do people spend in the bathroom that an electronic device is needed? I spend quite some time in there but I usually just think - bad vibes should go down the hatch too with the other waste. The best audio set-up in my bathroom is me singing acapella in the shower, where I can sing Sinatra without getting shot.
