The difference between my old Sennheiser hd-25 and HD-600 were a huge impact of difference, I'm enjoying the HD-600 every day and appreciate them.

Ante, what you definately need is an amp for your 'phones. My 6fire LT has a hard time driving my HD590s properly all by itself...

The difference between sources might be subtle for some people. It takes time to reconize any differences.
