Hi, I've seen this Psvane CV181 Treasure MKii Premium grade tube for sale online. Where does this tube fit in the Psvane line of tubes? Is it a discontinued tube? Does the Horizon series replace the Psvane Treasure tube? Thanks in advance.

Hello,
No, this 6SN7 has been around for a long time.
As the name suggests, it is the Tresor series.
You will find them mainly in the Feliks Euforia and Elise.
They are not my personal favourite, they are quite neutral in sound.
If that's what you're looking for, these may be right for you.
You can also search for more impressions via google.

Hi Deleeh, thanks for clarifying. I'm using a Freya+ pre-amp and would be looking for a warmer sound, not too neutral. If you happen to know, how would you compare the Art series tubes vs the new Horizon tubes? What might be the main differences between the Art and Horizon tubes?

Oh, I haven't heard the 6SN7 Horizon, so I can't say anything about it in comparison.

If it's the case that you want to go warmer I'd look at the 6SN7 from Ray Tubes, they're probably more what you're looking for in terms of sound I think.
I have tested them and they were very good for a new stock tube:

They are also more on the warm side and very well tuned.

The Ray tubes have received lot of praise from positive reviews so I'm definitely considering them seriously. I actually inquired at Apos, but they are unavailable until month end. Thanks again for your help. Enjoy your weekend.

Treasure Series (-Z)
WE Series

Cossor Series
UK Series
HiFi Series

Sorry for the late reply. It’s currently China’s National Day holiday, and we didn’t get a chance to check the messages in time.
And many thanks to @Deleeh. Thank you for your explanation.

For audio vacuum tubes, the hierarchy of our product line is as follows:
(Psvane CV181 Treasure MKii Premium grade tube=Psvane ART CV181TII)

Basic:HIFI、UK
Selected:HORIZON、ART
Premium:WE、ACME

The HORIZON Series is our latest line, featuring a more neutral sound compared to the Art Series and incorporating the latest technologies, such as HPC coating.
The WE Series pays homage to the classic Western Electric sound.
The ACME Series is our true flagship, offering a neutral and well-rounded sound profile.

I purchased a quad set of Horizon 6sn7 tubes for my Freya+ and I've been listening afer allowing for some burn in. I've noticed a subtle but clear improvement to the music. The tubes added a bigger sense of dimensionality to the soundstage, and some richness to the music, which sounded a tad more holographic. They definitely brought a greater sense of being closer to the music. These are excellent tubes for the Freya+.

Do you ever send out loaner tubes for review purposes? I would love to do a direct comparison of the Horizon and Acme 2A3 tubes on my DNA Stratus, compared to some other well-known vintage NOS and new production offerings.
