I received my new statements on Wednesday and have been breaking them in. Yesterday I received the latest Audio Advisor flyer and found out they are updating the cables and the current version is being liquidated with some great discounts. If anyone wants the older version, there are great prices on them at Audio Adivisor.

I picked up two at this price (229.00) with free shipping. I Hope I like them as much as the LAT AC2 cords I have been using for years.

With Audio Advisor's return policy, I don't think you can go wrong trying them. On my Meridian DSP 5200, the biggest change I have notice has been the increased volume. Where I listend at roughly a 65 setting, I now have to turn it back to 60-62. Also, the bass seems much fuller than I recall.

I really wasn't expecting much change but really wanted to try a cable upgrade on these powered speakers with built in DAC and have found a pleasant improvement. Maybe it is wishful thinking as it is difficult to truly swap power cords in and out without some time delay.

Does anyone have an opinion on what these things sound like?

Statement is for bass, Vishnu is for highs. Valhalla is for both.

I didn't like Statement because the highs were rolled off. All the subtlety was gone and it felt like a different recording without the detail. It was very warm and relaxing though.

I have heard the same increase in volume with all my Valhalla cables. The bass is fuller and thicker which makes it sounds like the volume is higher! After a year of power upgrades I have lowered the volume about 5 dB total, if I put back the same volume I used a year ago it's crazy loud!
