We have been offered a special price on the PS Audio Soloist In Wall Power conditioner. We will need 50 people minimum to move forward with the sale. Email me direct and I will tell you the insane price. I cant list it in this post. Because this is a group buy there are no returns. All sales are final...
For those of you that are not familiar with this unit, it is basically an in wall version of the Ultimate Outlet. In my opinion this was one of the greatest budget tweaks ever produced. I still own one and all of my wall outlets are currently Soloists. I use it before my other power conditioners. I use it for plugging in my high draw tube amps directly into the wall. I have My HP Media server and Modem Router on one. My ceiling mounted projector uses one. I cant say enough good things about these. I highly recommend these. Please reply to this post so I get you on the list.

Here is the info on the units:

Soloist In-Wall Power Conditioner 1.jpg

The Soloist in-wall power conditioner is a High Current Ultimate Outlet and spike protector built into the wall. No longer do you need to have in and out power cables for the UO. The same performance can now be achieved with the power conditioner where it belongs, in the wall.

The AC power coming out of your home’s wall socket is both dirty and dangerous, yet  connected equipment is dependent on clean and protected AC.  To solve this dillema we typically place a power conditioner, filter or AC regenerator between the wall socket and our connected equipment.
But power conditioners, filters and regenerators are big and require a connecting power cable.  This can be impractical in many situations including powering an on-wall television, accessing tight areas behind equipment etc.
The engineering team at PS Audio decided to solve this problem by building the world’s first (and only) in-wall power conditioner, the Soloist.  Perfect for any situation where getting clean and protected power without the addition of power cables and boxes makes sense.
The Soloist provides power conditioning and AC protection right where it belongs, at the source of the AC, your wall socket.

So, what’s inside the Soloist?
The Soloist utilizes a balanced power coupler known as a balun for filtering and non-volatile MOV’s for surge and spike protection.

A Balun is a donut of powdered iron with a wire wrapped around each half of the donut.  In the case of the Soloist, the balun is quite large and the wire extremely heavy gauge so there’s no degradation of micro and macro dynamics.  Every effort has gone into the Soloist’s design to maximize dynamics and keep the sound open, the picture vivid and clean.

When an AC signal comes into the balun’s two wrappings of wire, the balanced power coupler design cancels out anything in common to the two wires. Unlike series filters that only work on noise over a specified frequency range, a well-designed balun cancels a great deal of noise without a lot of wire in the way, thus doing so without any type of dynamic restrictions.

Down with Noise, Up with Power
The Soloist’s power coupler reduces common and differential mode noise by up to 40 dB, meaning that whatever noise is on the line will be reduced by over 100 times.

Differential and common mode noise are the two basic forms of noise found on home AC lines. Both are bad, and both are reduced significantly by the Soloist. Most other single element conditioners address one or the other type of noise, but rarely both like the Soloist.

Spike protection is second to none
Using our now famous super MOV technology for surge protection, the Soloist provides 100% spike protection for anything connected.

Clean and protected power right where you need it
The real beauty of the Soloist is its ability to provide clean protected AC where you need it, at the wall.  The Soloist avoids the extra power cables to connect it, removes the chance for radiated noise from close proximity equipment to enter into its input, and provides unrestricted AC to your conditioner or equipment.

No more tangled cords or confusing choices of which power cable to feed into the conditioner, the Soloist solves all these problems by simply eliminating them.

The Soloist should be the first AC line of defense in the PS system of power delivery.  It makes sense to first start with the Soloist in the wall, then connect everything else in your AV system to its output.

Even Power Plants and Power Directors are better served if they get a first dose of cleaning from the Soloist before they go to work on providing even cleaner AC.

Two way protection from noise
One of the beauties of the Soloist is the bi-directional nature of its passive AC filtering.  While it does a good job of pre-cleaning the AC line itself, it does an equally good job of keeping the noise generated by connected equipment from going back on the line.

It’s not well known that our AV equipment generates noise from their AC to DC conversions circuits, from switching power supplies etc.  Every time you plug in a piece of audio video equipment, you are adding line noise to your home.

By placing a Soloist on every power outlet in your listening room, you reduce the contamination your equipment places on the line, while improving the performance of your connected equipment.

No restrictions
The Soloist cleans the power coming out of a home’s AC sockets without restricting the power. This helps improve the performance of both audio and video components.

Three dimensionality is enhanced as is the beauty of an audio system’s top-end and midrange sounds, yet never at the expense of dynamics or bass.

In a Home Theater environment, the picture noticeably improves.  Better color definition, clarity and image depth are immediately apparent.

Installation
The Soloist can be easy to install.  In fact, if you are installing the Soloist in a double gang box (one that already has two duplex sockets) then it’s as easy as a Power Port and takes just a minute or two.

If you are replacing a single duplex socket in a single gang box, then it is a bit more difficult, but still easy.

Everything you need is included with the Soloist, including the double gang in-wall junction box it needs.

To install where a single gang box was, you will need to first remove the single gang box, create a larger opening in the drywall to accommodate the new double gang box, and install the Soloist.

In new construction, it’s particularly easy just to spec in a double gang box.

Behind your equipment, behind a plasma screen
Have a tight situation with your install?  The Soloist makes it a snap.  It goes behind a plasma screen, behind a floor mounted power amp, TV, or anywhere you need clean, protected AC power.
