Does that 250 count include the ones that were sent to Germany? I wonder how many ended up in the hands of head-fiers!

Congrats to wakeride74 and insomniac for sliding in under the wire to grab the last couple of pairs! I highly doubt that you will regret it.

If this really is the end of the line, I wouldn't be surprised to see these things going for well over $2k/pair in a few years.

#90 will have to be pried off my cold dead ears, unless perhaps a vastly superior PS-2 comes along in the meantime.

Thanks once again Todd for making the PS-1 available in the US market. Sometimes it's hard to keep in mind that the best Grado currently available to the general public is the RS-1, which is a good headphone but vastly outclassed by the PS-1.

Yes, 250 is MAX all around. Todd can say how many he sold to Head-fiers. I bought a new pair from GoRedWings19 after he bought two from Todd, so that is where my pair originated from.

While I'm expecting them to sound great, I'd be skeptical that I'll prefer them to my 650's for everything but classical. Remember, the Senn vs. Grado debate (as is pretty much everything discussed here) is largely influenced by personal tastes. Considering I prefer the 650's over every other Grado I've heard, which includes the RS-1 and HP-2, I'm pretty sure I'm still going to prefer the 650's over the PS-2's. Doesn't mean I won't love them though.

ADDITION: Regarding this talk about the serial numbers of the last two. Even if they were sold sequentially for the most part, isn't it possible that there are a whole bunch sitting in Germany waiting to be sold there?

Glad I get to at least get a listen. Of course, now that the PS-1 ship has sailed, I guarantee you that I'll love 'em. Just the way my luck goes.
