Some changes around the house have me weighing the possibility of an "entry level" (sub $1200) projector and ditching my 25" TV. I use one here at work some (although much better than what I'm looking for myself) but was trying to get an idea of what bulb life in the real world is for these things.
Current usage in our home would be around 10 hours per week, 15 on a really slow week. So I suspect less than 1000 hrs per year. But with replacement bulbs for most of these units above $200, I'm not thrilled with the idea of having to replace one every year (or other year even).
What kind of bulb life are you guys getting out of your systems?
