Normally I use dBpoweramp for any ripping or converting needs, but when converting from FLAC to ALAC, it gives me issues in the latter's files (skips to the track after the next one its supposed to go to after one track ends). What other programs do FLAC -> ALAC conversions?

you could use foobar2000 but foobar2k's alac decoder is not yet stable according to their website. it'll work but you may experience random crashes.
i have not tried it b/c i didnt want random crashes.

I was reading about it and getting all excited until...

Requirements
Max requires Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or later.

Doh! I should've realized it earlier from all the white on that page and the "Max" logo.

Looks like I'm getting a Mac.

Yes, Max is great. Its been my main audio CD ripper and converter that last 2-3 years.
But no use for the OP though as he obviously run MS Windows (he refer to dBpoweramp).
