Does anyone know how to program the hardware inside a Denon receiver?
I figure the firmware/settings are stored in some EEPROM.

Anyway I just wanted to salvage what I can to my Denon AVR-1506.
What happened was that I had taken my unit in for repair at the Denon repair facility in Carson, CA and I think they intentionally programmed the receiver to not allow the balance control to work for the headphone jack. Currently, the left side plays louder than the right, and the balance control only adjusts the gain of the left channel.

I had brought in the unit because the center channel was not loud enough for home theater. Carson facility did not even fix that part. I went to another Denon repair center in western suburbs of Chicago, IL and they repaired the center channel, but the headphone jack remained broken.

I had not realized that these receivers were reprogrammable to what ever you want with the controls.
