...question for you. I listen to cans at the end of a mix to get a feel for how it stacks up against recordings I like. I do this because I know how my headphones (hd-280s) sound and since they're portable and my home stereo isn't I can bring it to studios to check against monitoring systems that I'm not as familiar with. I wanted to know if there are headphones out there that are possibly more neutral than these (they have a treble peakiness that isn't very realistic). Anything come to mind?

You'll have to get used to whatever new cans you choose... but you might try the 580, 590, 595, 600 and 650. I use 590s myself.
