I've just got my Shures back from warranty from a cable tear about 2 months ago. The problem I have now is that the cable, i think, doesn't connect with the plug properly.

Firstly: Does anyone know if this is covered under warranty?
Secondly: I need something to keep my cables tidy in my pocket because winding them around my ipod seems to break them.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately Shures are known to have cable problems (either breaking at the TRS sleeve or at the earpieces) as reported in Head Fi. One thing is that due to the thickness and stiffness of the cord its not a good idea for example to subject the right angle TRS plug to weird angles and pressure (like stuffing the audio player into your pocket in a manner that bends the cable relief a lot or wrapping the wire tightly around the player when not in use). Some care will probably extend the life of the cable and plug, although preventing them from breaking is another issue altogether
