I have an iPod 80gb 5.5 and rockbox installed. I have created a folder called Rockit and when I put music in that directory, it is not updating the database. I can see the music files and I can play them but they are not available by artist, genre, etc..

also, how do I place m3u playlists in the ipod?

Have you initialised the database? After that turning it off and on again normally works.
