I am using EAC and Windows Media 9 Encoder to rip WMA lossless files from my CDs. Occasionally I get small drop-outs on my tracks.

I do not have the same issue when I use EAC and LAME to rip mp3s from my CDs.

This occurs with new, unscratched CDs, so it's not a problem with my discs. Anyone know what's wrong?

Also, is there a way I can rip WMA and mp3s running EAC once (instead of running EAC twice, once to rip WMAs and a second time for mp3s)?

Thanks in advance.

I can't help you on your first question, but DB Poweramp batch convertor should let you take your WMA formated file and convert it to a good VBR MP3 file no problem. I converted a bunch of MP4 files to flac, wma, and wav using it and it works well.

cheers
