I followed Mr.Radar's setup guide (http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=75655) closely, and I got the music going soon afterwards. The problem is that whenever another sound comes up (IM sound, Windows sound effects, etc) the music just cuts off, but it's still "playing" in foobar. It's like foobar's music just gets muted whenever some other sound comes in. Even changing the volume tab causes this problem. Things get better when I change the foobar output to DirectSound. Can someone help me out here?

I had the same problem. For me, though, it's not a bug, it's a

- i hated all those damn sounds, so i turned them off.

If you want to keep them the easiest thing to do is route windows sound through your old sound card/built-in (you did have sound before the AV-710 right?), and leave the AV-710 for foobar alone.
