I made a cha47 variant and it has problems when I use 2 opamps with it. However, it works perfectly fine with only one in either socket. My first thought was that it could be faulty opamps but I ruled that out by testing. My second hypothesis is that the 12v wallwart may not be enough. I would appreciate advice from anyone. Thanks.

edit: Symptoms when both opamps are in use is distortion especially when the bass in the music hits. Sometimes it can be sporadic and only occur on the right channel especially at low volumes. Again, everything works perfectly with only 1 opamp.

did you build it yourself on a breadboard? or on a prebuild PCB?

i ask because the first time i built it, i screwed up the second opamp because the schematic flipped the + and - inputs around. the output of the first amp should go into the + input of the second amp. The massive distortion sounds exactly like the problem i had (ok when its realy quiet, but as soon as anything with volume comes through... crackle, hiss, roar.... )
