I have a Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium HD sound card and for a year and a half it's been working great until today. I went to switch from entertainment mode to game mode and it locked up and I lost all sound. I restarted my computer and I still didn't have sound, there's a red x on the speaker icon and it says "The audio service is not running". Then it goes back to the normal speaker icon but I still have no sound, it cycles between these two states about every other minute indefinitely.
I looked into my services and the Creative Audio Service, Windows Audio Service, and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder Service are all running, but still no sound. I tried restarting these services but still no sound, I've restarted my computer about three times and still no sound.
In device manager it even says the device is working properly, thanks worthless device status.
I don't know what to do at this point.
