I use my Corda Aria as my primary amp. The problem I have is that I can't listen to my RS2s using it. I listen at fairly low levels but my ears start hurting. This isn't due to the brightness as far as I can tell. I am fine if I plug them into my Mackie Big Knob or really any other inexpensive headphone amp. Anyone have any ideas on what would cause this? I use the Aria with HD650s, k701s and HD595s with no problem at all.

some people have this issue with Grados. I have a very similiar issue with them. I just can't listen to the grados I've tried (225, 325, HF-1).

Have you had issues with the RS-2s with other amps?

Basically, no. I have used them with my Antique Sound Labs HB2, right out of my Apogee Mini-DAC, and out of the built in headphone amps on my Mackie Big Knob with no problems at all. I haven't tried it on another dedicated amp though.

Thats interesting, cause the Aria is a relatively warm amp IMO.
