Hi All,

I'm getting static when listening to most (but not 100%) of my MP3's on my Mac via iTunes.

I have a Schiit stack consisting of the Uberfrost and Lyr. It's connected to my iMac 27" (2013) via USB cable. The stack is connected via PYST cables bought from Schiit. I'm listening on a pair of HiFiMan HE-500's (original cable - tightened).

I don't remember this problem existing until the last couple of months.  Before that I had nearly a year of clean listening.

Any ideas? A Mac issue, perhaps?

Any chance it might be the Schiit that is causing the static?

As a long shot, have you tried an S/PDIF optical connection, from the Mac to the Uber Bifrost?
(assuming your Mac has a optical port, 3.5mm)

Here is a cable you might need to use an optical connection.

Maybe even try replacing the RCA cable.

Maybe even plug the Lyr into a different AC socket?
