I have an "aux" jack in my car into which I plan to plug in my mp3 player whenever I decide which one to get. Is this input going to require a "line out" from the player, or can I just use its headphone jack as a line out and it? Is it just a matter of SQ?

If you crank the headphone out to max dont expect a clean signal out like you'd get with a line out. You're overdriving the internal amp so its gonna mess with the sound.

i'd plug in a line out device, set your car volume, then plug in your headphone out, keep the same car volume, and then adjust your mp3 player to the same level
