Pro-Ject DAC Box FL S/PDIF question

Just got an used Pro-Ject DAC Box FL. When I connected the S/PDIF cable to my computer and the DAC itself I noticed that the connector seems wobbly on the DAC side, while it's snug as hell on my I/O on the PC. I've never used S/PDIF before, is this common? It all works great and it does not cut the sound if I wobble the connector around..
