This picture is of of Cyrus 6VS2 amplifier. Its got a good headphone out as I have tried it with my HD800's. However I have a issue with the Amp. I bought it from ebay for around £200 and having opened it up to check if everything was ok I found that the white enamel/material (don't know what it is really) has tarnished in places quite considerably. The Amplifier works and sounds fine. Can anyone explain what this material is (its not usual copper) and will this have any effect on my precious HD800's.

Do you mean the white covering on the PCB traces (eg just beside the 2 main filter capacitors in your pic)?

Its fine - that's just a coating on the copper traces. Should have no effect on the operation of the amp.

Thanks for your reply. It's reassuring to know that it's just a coating and has no effect on the amplifier. Could you please also let me know the technical term used for this particular coating, so as I may google it and learn some more about it. Cheers.
