So far …. good. They are brand new and need some burn in before I can give proper impressions. I have the stock EL34s and KT150s to compare.

I exchanged the EVO 400 amp for the EVO 400 Integrated for preamp and headphone output. I know the amp can power the 1266 as I’m powering them with Aune X7s and sounds good for 300$ headphone amp. Aune works because the transformer they used on the 2018 version so the Prima having good transformers should do the trick. Found my processor and clone preamp are too hot and whistles off the processor so I need a closed system go from EVO 100 dac to 400 intergrated.

The headphone out makes it a no brainer For me.

The sound warmed up. The treble tamed down and the bass bloomed. The sonic quality that I loved about my ampsandsound is found in the Primaluna.

Which ampsandsound was it?
