I'm on the verge of ordering one of these.

Is there a better way to do this or is this good?

Well, I have no experience with the Firebox but I will say that I'm very happy with my PreSonus HP4. It's a very good value considering it's dead silent, works as a preamp and has 4 headphone outs that can drive all but the hardest to drive headphones very well.

Have you ever tried Grados/Alessandros?

Not everyone loves the sound...it's really a preference thing. What other headphones have you tried?

Nope, don't know if I'll like them...but I don't know of any way to find out other than to try 'em since nobody sells 'em here. I need to find an interface solution first, though...or I won't have a good way to test out the phones. (See my sig...)
