I really don't want to spend too much, the HF2 is already very pricey for me as is.

Anyway, any advice on what kind of amp/DAC to get? Compass seems nice and all but spending another $300 is hard to do.

Do you do most of your listening through a dedicated CD player or your computer?

If the latter, I'd say look no further than the Asus Essence STX card for ~$150 via ewiz.com.

Apparently the iBasso D10 is very good with the Grado headphones.

get a DIY millet hybrid maxxed or minimax. sounds fantastic with grados. and fairly inexpensive compared to other offerings out there...

How about the LD MKIII? If it's within your budget then it could be a great match with the Grados.
