Got a pair of new Sennheiser cx70 earbuds.
 
The hights (tweeters) are waay too high pitched for my linking. Sound is too piercing. Have to turn down the volume. Bass is just okay.
Is this happening with all premium earbuds?
 
Is there some brand/model that's good quality but with actually reduced highs?

Are you getting a good seal? Otherwise, the bass will be much less than it should.

I too find more than one of the Senn IEM's to be sibilant--and I don't mind bright headphones.
