I took your word ordered from TTVJ after my Amazon order. It means a lot for me since I have had so many excellent experience with Amazon, I would NOT switch unless there is very compelling reason. Well supporting Head-fi is one of them.

You won't be sorry because Todd has excellent customer service and way more personalized and human than Amazon could ever be. Plus, I think you will be very happy with the timing of Todd's shipment of cans compared to the 'zon!

This is my first order from TTVJ but I take your word for it, Al. You DA MAN!



My last pre-order experience with Amazon was not at all pleasant. It was the new Canon 5D Mark II camera. I placed pre-order hoping to get it before Christmas holiday vacation. But on 12/20 I still never near a copy, while everybody else receiving them left and right from B&H, Adorama, Ritz, and other specialty stores. I cancelled my order out of frustration. I DO believe when dealing with niche or new releases, specialized stores have an upper hand.

I doubt it - the HD 800 is a different beastie entirely.
