Here, have a listen to this.

When the guy started to shake match box at my HEELS i thought my head was on fire...

Now, while waiting for Philips SBC HD1500u to arrive i am hunting for proper pre-encoded Dolby-H samples. The matchbox is the best so far, but i have found some other cool things:

Dolby Headphone Demo on Odeo

Also some video demos:

bit-tech.net | Dolby Headphone demos - Dolby Headphone demos

BTW, Dolby's own demos suck some major balls - overcompressed and hissy/ringy sound. It does come thru, but c'mon Dolby, you can do better on YOUR OWN website.

Game DH video/sound demos are good though. Too short for my taste but good. Max payne rules...

Dolby Games - Video Game Demos with Dolby Headphone Technology

Found couple more but never bookmarked.

Now trying to hunt down Dolby Demo DVD Disk v4, that contains DH preencoded video/sound demos....

Anyone know of any other examples ?

Anyone can try above links with ordinary stereo headphones. Since its pre-encoded there's no need for either Pioneer's 800/1000/2000 or Philips's 1500 to hear the difference...

BTW, X-Fi's own CMSS-3D does not work on me. Its either crap or its just me... No other "virtual surround" ever worked for me, until today i tried "match box" preencode...

If someone comes across some more of DH demos please let me know...

Thanks...

Hi,

Here is a brief excerpt from a current vinyl transcription I am in the middle of doing. It's from a 50 year old recording (yes, 1958 stereo). The excerpt is from Dvorak Violin Concerto with Nathan Milstein on Capitol records (Cisco reissue).

Nice. How do we get/buy more?

Also, do a search for Binaural here - there are a couple of threads with good links that I can't find right now.

And, here is some binaural music you can buy and download online

MSO Download Store: GRIEG: Suite No. 1 from Peer Gynt, Op. 46
