I use a speaker amp to power my stax but the gain on the amp is too high. So I am in the market for a pre-amp. I am looking for something transparent and neutral. I don't want color to the sound. Of course, the cheaper it is the better. I am willing to go used and I am currently looking at a adcom GTP-500. What other alternatives are there?
