Hey guys, when I originally setup my PPA Amplifier (v1.0c) with LaRocco Diamond Discrete Buffer, I used all the resistors and it worked great. However, I had read somewhere that Resistors R11, R12 and R13 were not needed with the Diamond buffer and that they may even cause some noise when used with such. Therefore, I removed my R11, R12 and R13 resistors (with all other things remaining the same), and now my amplifier will turn on and produce sound, but has horrible noise in the background.

The main thing I get now is some nasty crackling when it turns on and off, and when I turn the alps POT up and down. Also, with the volume all the way down, I get some nasty noise in the left channel. With the volume up a little, the left channel is not nearly as loud as the right, but both sound like crap as far as audioquality goes. Finally, one of the sinks on the diamond buffer gets hot quickly...

Any clues?

(if you need pics of any particular part of the amp, let me know and I can take them)

THANKS GUYS!
