I don't know too much about audio equipment, but I own Audioengine A2s and I'm looking for a musical sub for $100-150. I realize that my options are limited at this budget, but I fully intend to purchase a sub now rather than continue to save. What are some reputable options for me?
I am currently looking at Dayton Audio's SUB-100 and SUB-120. Any opinions on how they compare with each other? I assume that each is progressively better than the previous, but how big are the differences? What are comparable options from other brands? Thanks in advance!
I have also read that the Athena PS-4000 was a great musical sub but was discontinued. Was there ever a successor?
Additional info: I have a small to medium sized room, no bigger than 15 by 15 feet at most. I will be using the sub solely for music.
