We use 230v here and I usually buy electronic equipment from the US which are 120v. I get around this problem by having two kinds of outlets in the house, 230v and 120v, but my 120v outlet is basically our usual 230v power which is passed thru a 230->120v transformer.

Now, my question is, does this degrade sound quality? Almost all my audio equipment (CD player, amp...) are plugged into this 120v transformed outlet.

If so, what do you guys recommend me to do?
