Do the power ratings listed for amps really mean anything or are they just a useless spec?
I'm waiting for delivery of a pair of AKG 701's and realize that long term I'll probably need a dedicated amp, but I am wondering if my HT reciever will power them decently for the immediate future.
I'm using a Yamaha RX-V800and it lists the headphone out as 150 mV/100 Ohm. Any good? Useless information?
I've been reading every thread I could find about amps for the 701's and I'm more confused than when I started.
