I suggest a power metal thread. I know there are a few other metal oriented threads but those are all filled with mostly black, thrash, and death metal.

Why is this thread getting no love?

 Since you listen to Blind Guardian I assume you listen to Iced Earth and have also heard of Demons and Wizards?

I think it's because there's a big thread for Metal already that most of the Metalheads frequent. 
 
I'm a huge Power Metal fan. My favorite is probably Demons & Wizards (and of course the 2 bands that make up the super group) and Hammerfall...
 
Hammerfall is fantastic. I own almost all of their CDs. Crimson Thunder is a must own in any Power Metal fan's collection.

Yeah I know about the other metal thread but like the first guy said it is dominated by other genres of metal

Man, ain't nothing wrong with anything on that list. and yeah Demons and Wizards is my second favorite Power Metal Band...BG being my first and cage being my second. The (let's talk metal) thread is almost exclusively Black and Death metal.

Ever hear of Power Glove? A powermetal band that does covers of nintendo songs and such.

* Dragonland's album Under the Grey Banner (this one is a power metal masterpiece, early albums are way worse IMO)

Yea, it's definitely primarily death, thrash, and black, but I dig many forms of Metal, and I'm sure the dudes in there would show some love for Power. I'm not too savvy with the sub-genre, but I dig some Nightwish, Blind Guardian, and a few other bands mentioned.
