It's evident that there's a significant amount of effort gone into the power circuits as one moves up the Audio-GD range, which has led me to a couple of questions (there's no point me posting my musings as I don't really know what I'm on about!).
What are the design reasons for putting all the circuitry internal to each unit? Would it not be better to have a single external supply that could supply multiple units, or is it more integral than that?
I've read arguments for the merits of combo and separate units, based around power supply and signal isolation. Does it come down to implementation rather than theory?
Any insights appreciated.
