I found this surfing on a belgian DIY online shop :

"In short , you have many other brands that supply high quality potentiometers , and even then most audiophiles try stepped attenuators with resistors, now I have found one pot that beats them all , at least there is none that sounds better.

The Panasonic Plastic film high precision with multiple gold wipers( 5 ); tolerance of tracking between left and right channel less then 1.5dB for the high grade version."

The 50k log pot cost 35€ (and for 5€ more, the shop searchs a pot matched at 0.5db, which is common with this pot according to them).

It seems to be the non-motorized version of the pot at the bottom of this page : http://www.thel-audioworld.de/bauteile/regler/Potis.htm

Did someone already use one of those things ?
