As above.

Anybody know how to install a potentiometer on the fiio E3? best if no need to solder on the board itself because the board is very small and my soldering skills not that good/precise.

Not recommended unless you know your way around a soldering iron or if you want the thing huge

im putting the fiio in a box.so im quite okay with being huge.
and whats more im putting it below my classic so its quite okay being huge.

i just need to learn how to do it.sometimes i solder out big blobs as my solder is old .so best if i can get a noob-proof method

Its a pot, 2 sockets and the blue lines are wires. go buy the three parts and connect them as shown and it will work.
cheers

I wish I could make it simpler.

You put your source input into the socket marked INPUT

You use a cable to go from the socket marked OUTPUT to the input of your Fiio

The blue wires are connected to the terminals on the pot and the two sockets.

Turn the pot (10k-50k will be fine) and the volume will vary
good luck
