Post your Macro Photos!

I do lots of macro photography, too. I am an amateur entomologist so I have lots of insect pictures.

This is a photo of some unknown material on a sidewalk:
macro1.jpg

This is a Cicada Killer.. it's a type of wasp that catches cicadas in mid-flight, paralyzes them, and takes them to their underground nest(the reason why its covered in dirt) where the larvae can feed on them when they hatch. They have one of the most severe stings of any insect(if not the most). My brother actually killed this one with a water hose WHILE it was carrying a cicada, crazy. I had to hold it with tweezers because it was still twitching(with the stinger coming out and ejecting venom, nonetheless):

And I have some great macro spider photos here: http://illformed.org/releases/123

Here's the strawberry pic I posted the link to earlier, hopefully the image host wont go down this time.

This was taken with a Nikon D100, Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens with a Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens reverse mounted on the front, which yields a 2X magnification.

Hey hummingbirds! Not sure I'd call these macros, but here you go:

Edit: forget it, stupid image host is down again. Can anyone recommend a reliable image host for around $25 a year? (Other than pbase)
