If only I were an eskimo...I know a guy who's 1/16th eskimo and he got 10k a year for school from an organization representing native American populations.

Same here. Apply and apply but I get nothing. Ironically, my problem isn't that there are no scholarships for people like me, but that minority, first generation, low income, immigrant background students are a dime-a-dozen in Berkeley. If i went to a private school (private schools want diversity, whereas public schools are over flooded with poor kids asking for $ [seriously, UC Berkeley educates more low income students than the entire ivy league combined, so there is just alot less money to go around]).

You also get horribly small desks. =[

I'm not sure my monitor would even fit on that desk.

looking forward to posting my setup when I get back into the dorm in a couple of weeks.... that is if I ever finish this DIY stuff.

Man, my roomie must get annoyed with all my drilling and whatnot... Not to mention that my "headphones" can be heard clearly even at low volumes.. lol

I genuinely don't want to risk taking my floorstanding speakers and projector.

I'm dong to stick to the minimalistic way of things...
Dual 19" LCDs, cheap computer and speakers, and AKG K81. Yay.

Dang, you guys have nice setups. I wish I had known about high end audio and how to properly spend my money and that I knew about forums and where to buy used.

Much more baller than when I was in school. Heck, still more baller.

I'm just about finished moving into my new room. There are still some boxes laying around, but it's mostly setup. Enjoy.
