The PX200 made it difficult for me to determine where sounds, such as footsteps, were coming from. Tried the KSC-50 , does a well enough job for my un-amped, $5-10 soundcard. You can also post phones for any HL mod, while we're at it. I hope this gets a lot of replies!

ive used senn 545s and beyer 990dts with good results.

It's too bad that CS has such primitive sound. That game really needs a sequel via HL2. Assuming HL2 has a mod feature as well. It better, that's the best aspect of the original. I never even play the original game, just its mods.

Since my gear is near my computer in my room i hook up a cheap mini to rca to my amp and use my ety er4p when i play cs. Its like being in the game i usually get accused of cheating because you can predict distances so easily.

"Assuming HL2 has a mod feature as well."

Don't worry sephka. Here's a rip from Planet Half-Life's HL2 FAQ:

"A Half-Life 2 SDK (Software Development Kit) for mod developers will be released prior to the game hitting store shelves."

Valve has stated this in numerous HL2 Q&A's. Think it's pretty safe to say it's a fact.

dont play CS, but for True Combat i prefer (or at least i did before one of the drivers crapped out on me) mx400's or 500's through my revo and the jack on my yamahas. the in ear thing seems to work well for using audio cues, and seems generally more immersing than the 457's i used to use.

duxx i know what you mean about the grados...i usually dont use my 60's unless its a fairly musical, or at least audibly pleasant game. and 325's are definately overkill

well let's see...

I just got done using my HD 590's great positioning

most of the time I use a Altec-Lansing headphone w/ mic positioning is okay, and if the whole team works together w/mic, things go really well...

I also used my Panasonic HT355's which also has great positioning, and decent isolation as well... needs a mic though...

If you guys see <Dragon Army>Ender, say hi!
