Ok, here's my setup: 1 desktop, 2 laptops.

The Laptop on the right is my Sony T250 stock but I have a 200GB external attached to it. I used to take it around but now it's a downloader
wink.gif
1.2GHz Pentium M proc, 512MB ram, 60GB internal hard drive, etc. 1280x768 resolution, 10.5" screen.

The small laptop on the keyboard is my 'new' Sony C1XF, it's a JDM model and so I have Japanese Windows 98 on it, it's a blast to use and I love the keyboard. It's not like new laptop keyboards, there's definitely more of a tactile satisfaction to it. Main reason I got it is because I use my other 2 for downloading and wanted a computer to go online with, plus my T250 was kind of big (not really but for me, yesh). It's a 400MHz PII with 192MB ram and the rest is stock, the Razer is attached to it. 1024x480 resolution on a 8.9" screen.

The desktop is one I built in 2001 and still goes strong, 1.4GHz Athlon XP with 1GB RAM (2 sticks). 2x80GB, 2x100GB, 1x120GB Hard drives...external 16x DL DVD+-RW, 16x DVD-Rom, 24x Plextor. ...all of my slots are filled, firewire, usb2, etc. Geforce 6800.

The Desktop and T250 also run into my Sony HT75W monitor, which is awesome, same res as the laptop but 17" and freaking brighter than anything, the contrast ratio is like 800:1 on this thing, it's incredible the first time you see it.

All that good stuff runs through my Sharp SD-NX10 stereo w/JBL E30 speakers and my 1 cu ft sealed Alpine Type-R 10" Dual-coil @8 Ohms w/150W amp.

Hi,

Last reponse was a few days ago, so I hope that I wasn't supposed to post here, but I love to look at pictures of people's set ups and so I will post mine. (I have very little room in my bedroom so my computers are sitting on the floor, where I sit when I work.)

[size=x-small]I saw earlier that someone else had the same case as I do, but black.

In the beige case is my main computer, which is:

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
2 GB RAM
KV7 Motherboard
DVD-ROM drive
2x 74 GB Western Digital Raptor HD on a RAID 1
160 GB Seagate HD
Radeon 9800 XT

The case above is my old computer, an HP Pavillion 6640. It has an AMD K6 or something in it, I haven't looked at the specs in awhile so I do not know. It runs Windows NT 4.0 Server and carries two 5 GB SCSI drives inside (Just barely! ^^;; ). It is a fun toy to play with every now and then. ^_^

My laptop is an old Compaq Armada. I would buy a new one but this one works fine and I need it when I'm travelling. It runs Windows XP Professional on just a 400 Mhz processor with 64MB of RAM. Unfortunately the screens in these models gain a red tint after awhile, so when I use this laptop I see red all the time.

rx7_fan, those M200s are way too close to the wall!!! IMO they need at least 12in of space to sound the best due to the rear port.

It does look a little burnt, doesn't it?

I had the monitor on a desk with a 3Com ISDN LAN modem next to it. I don't know how or why, but the 3Com modem caught fire.

A blurry shot, but you can see the damage done to the left side. The back is exposed as the plastic cover melted completely on the rear of the monitor. So much so that plastic dripped off of the right side.

The worst part is that the STORE button, which stores all the monitors preferences is melted into the face of the monitor, rendering it useless. The rest of the buttons do work, although the others on the left stick a little bit.

The sticker was added later by a co-worker. It works near-perfect, although resolutions in excess of 1024x768 are blurry, and have some ghosting. Runs fine at that 1024x768 though, and I think it has alot of "character". ^_^

My case may be 3 years old, and I may be using an Apple keyboard, but I still spend way to much time and money on my computer, I really need to find some less expensive hobbies.

Its funny how when you get older even your computer changes directions. My old machine was one of those Thermaltake flashy, shiny, lights, window in side cases. Had 1gig 2-3-2-5 corsair memory, 9800pro, etc etc (all when the stuff was good).. used it and built another similar to it when I used to dual box in EQ.

Moved one to buddies house, for internet machine over there, moved other to be my new second machine and built a new machine recently. Not top of line but fun enough.

Lian Li PC6077B case (Get a Lian Li case, well worth the money, classy, and slick)
Epox EP-9NPA+Ultra MB
eVGA 256 Geforce 7800GT
Sunbeam SUUO 550W PS
Athlon 3700+ San Diego
Corsair XMS 2gig DDR 400 (2-3-2-5)
1x 74gig WD Raptor
3x 250gig Seagate crap Storage drives

Monitors = 21" Sony Trinitron CRT, 19" Envision CRT, 21" Dell Flatpanel
