It'll come in handy soon! But first have to rebuild the darkroom to a super efficient one. It'll be great !

30d...now THAT is cool! Awesome camera! Have fun with it. You plan on keeping your previous one? As for wide-angle, you might want to look into the 12-24 by Tokina. Good glass. Good luck selling the 70-300 and raising enough fundings for what you desire!

A dark room is definitely a very cool thing to have. I'm not dedicated enough to photography to create one (nor do I have the space), but the appeal is obvious. Enjoy!

I'm not sure if I'm keeping the 300D. I won't use it anymore, but you can hardly get any money from selling them so I'm thinking about keeping it as a backup camera.

Thanks for the recommendation of the 12-24. That super-wide range is definitely what I'm looking for... the 18mm that I have now as a minimum isn't wide enough for me, seeing as how my main interest is in landscape photography.

Yes, the Fun vs. Cost factor is pretty high.
But hitting the maximum speed limit (100 km/h) in 1st. gear is not that fun.
