oh and i didnt just buy it, but i just got this:
inspiron 1420
14.1" WXGA+ (1440x990) screen
intel t7300 2.0GHz core 2 duo
2 gb ram
160 gb 5400rpm HDD (with externals, thats 600GB of storage)
geforce 8400GS (i think? i dont game anymore)
vista home premium
1250 shipped and taxed. its fast! editing photos is way snappier than the old P4 XP machine

Getting my new HD650s today. I've heard so much about how great they are and how well they scale with high end sources/amps that I just had to give them a try. Will they best my recabled Denon D2000? We shall see...oh yes, we shall see...

HD25-1 II came in!
Changed around the drivers, put on the velours, and will son change the cable to something else. Very impressed by them!
