I have a Thinkpad Z61M. It has some annoying problems, such as the left speaker sounding crackly every now and then, the computer stuttering whenever opening and closing the lid, ridiculously long times to get it to sleep (1-2 minutes after closing the lid), really loud and slow DVD-RW drive, and the display seems to like to quickly go in and out for a quick second every now and then. I hope these problems don't plague your Thinkpad
