Black Pyramid is a great sludge/ doom choice. So many sweet tracks....Visions mirror etc.

In the ISIS clean vocals theme im really enjoying Black Hell - How the rest was lost, great prog meandering tracks with plenty of Heavy. So much good sludge/ Doom out there.

Excellent recommendation. Not a huge fan of post-rock (as much I am of post-metal), but like you say, sweet post-rock.

"Somewher Along the Highway" by Cult of Luna is starting to grow on me.
Finland is an incredible track...

I still seem to have the same problem with all this music though: I keep wanting Aaron Turner to just growl out of nowhere and for the music to explode in an epic crescendo/ISIS fashion.

Hopefully some of these recs will be good enough to stand on their own in the genre.

Waiting on Mouth of the Architect and Callisto in the mail.
