How can you even stand listening to those things? My brother has a pair and I gag everytime I
listen to them. And a Karma powering them too! That's some kind of waste there!!

so can you change the hard drive? i mean upgrade it?

You can replace the harddrive but there is one and a half
limitation.

The new one must fit the dimensons.
Toshibas 1.8" 20GB disc is 5 mm high.
The 40GB Version is 8 mm high. There's no space left in the
case.
iRiver's iHP-140 is 3 mm higher than the iHP-120.

And you must get an IDE adaptor for formating the drive with FAT32 on an PC.

So we have to wait for thinner discs.

What are those Philips headphones you've got there?
Are those 'behind the neck' phones?

I've listened to the 'over the head' version of these, they're not bad at all!

I wish vaja would make a case for the Zen Xtra, but I contacted them and they don't make onbe currently and it doesn't seem they have plans to.

Actually my ONLY problem with the bunded case, no window to see the screen, if they had done that I wouldn't even be looking for something else. *sigh*

They are over the head. Don't sound too bad for $15. I bought them about two years ago.

there's no point to get iHP-140 over 120 unless u actually have 40 gig worth of music

Agreed. The 20 gigs onmy karma is actually to much. I only have 10 gigs of music, but the karma is the same price as a 10 gig ipod so......

Also i have frinds who come up to me and are like " check out my new 60 gig zen xtra" i go cool. How much music do you have. they say "alsmoat 5gigs.
