I'm a recent convert to Tidal, esp. since I avoiding putting music on my work laptop, which is what I use most of the time. Recently, however, work has added Tidal to its banned list. This means that if I want to use Tidal I have to rely on my phone, where I also have some flac files. That gives me two options, right? 1) BT, via a BT receiver (I've been using an ES100 attached to a Magni for that, it works well but still I think it sounds better if even just the ES100 were connected via USB). Or an OTG connection to an external DAC. I haven't tried that, but I my phone's battery life sucks (Pixel 3), and I can't rely on using it for music unless I can also charge. Is there a way to work around that problem? What are the best ways to use a phone as a source?

ps. It's possible a DAP will end up being my best option, but I'd rather avoid that.

They also make mini usb-c hubs or charging cables with passthrough ports, idk how well they work for audio etc though.
