Nicely done RMX. The cover charge works for me and I will buy my share of coffee! I'm about 80% sure I can make it now. I'm looking forward to hearing those eggos again as I am currently searching for something more portable than my beloved Grado's.

Plus I hated mine since I got them used and they smelled like cigarettes...

Really... Then I'd like to stick witht he PX100's for around $30 if I can find some. :/

I'd like to find some nice NON-IEM phones. All of mine are cheap IEMS *points to sig* and I need some non-IEM earbuds as well has full size/over the head and some streetstyle.

Problem is I just bought another IEM (JVC). *smacks self on the head*

This meet is beginning to sound amazing! Hopefully everyone will get some eargasmic experience that part of the country so sorely lacks. (Okay, maybe not as much as, say, Yellowknife (no offense))

I propose that we start a list of who's bringing what in terms of Earphones, Amplification, and Source, just so we have a consolidated idea of what's in store. I'll startfirst (and then I'll go back and organize what has been brought up to add them to this list)

I'll be bringing Audio-Technica w2002, AT em9d, AT ew9, TrevorNetwork maxxed Dynahi, Porta Corda II, Benchmark DAC1 (black, older serial number #37626 but with replaced Cardas RCA-outs) and a cheapo DVD player that plays burnt discs as a transport. I could bring my 3G 30 GB ipod too, but it's gonna be filled with a lot of indie music so don't know if that's gonna appeal to most but can't hurt i guess.

BTW, what about available power outlets? I'm no expert on power cables or connections or whatever, but should we be bringing multi-outlet surge protectors or something so we can plug all this gear in? I have absolutely no clue if that's good or bad for the sound quality or whatever, more experienced users might wanna chime in.

I'm not sure if I'm coming- but if I do come I'll bring a self built Millet Hybrid Tube amp with 12FK6 RCA tubes, and I should be able to easily swap to the 12AE6A tubes too. I'll also bring a well filled out PPA v2 AMP using OPA627/OPA637 opamps, possibly a small DIY USB DAC (if the frick'n parts show up), possibly (thou probably not) AKG K701s, HD580s, HD590s, AKG K2Ps and AKG K26Ps. The girlfriend and I are busy most weekends, and she often doesn't tell me of our plans in advance.

I can bring:

Grado HF-1
Sony Eggo MDR-D77
Etymotic ER4P with S conversion cable (please bring your own tips if you're interested in trying them out, I only have a few pairs of triflanges that I want to keep for me...)

Firestone Spitfire DAC
Firestone Cute Beyond amp

I do have a couple of power strips lying around that I can bring too, in case we need 'em.

I'll bring a miniDAC, iHP-120, HP-2s, K1000s. There'll probably be HF-1s and 650s there already, so no need to bring em.

I will be bringing everything in my profile and perhaps a few other little goodies if the manufacturers I contacted get back to me.

Well, I'll be there too.

Out of the little stuff in my profile, I'm still waiting on the amp and the k701s.
And all I can bring really is:
Grado SR-80
iRiver SlimX IMP-350 CD/MP3 player.
I would love to let people hear the AudioTrak Prodigy 7.1 but I obviously can't bring my pc tower with me.
I have some final fantasy music in lossless format that I'll try to burn to cd and bring it with me (some of the tunes I love to hear the most).

One question: I'm a newbie to this world. Would I be welcome even with no experience? Is it ok that I have so little to contribute in terms of gear? Would you have patience for someone who doesn't even know all the terminology?

Be honest with me, I don't mind^_^ I hope to join you guys and have a good time.
