Possible Vancouver BC Meet

Maybe I can come... if my parents let me. The sound of Sunday is a sound of doubt though... I think Spring break would be better but eh. :/

I missed the last one, so hopefully, I can go to this one.

so do you guys think there will be a lot of portable gear to try out at this event? I'm really not interested right now in the expensive home stuff since it's not in my price range.

Was hoping to to test out a lot of portable gear, sub $200 headphones, maybe senn 580/600 for kicks...

I have no idea what I could bring...maybe Sony 7506...grado sr60...lol.

solvex: well, my laptop runs Linux, don't know if that card (and especially the S/PDIF) would be supported, and I don't have much music on it - worth a try though, if there's nothing better...anyone got an iRiver or a portable DVD player or something?

jlo: I'll have my crappy old Neuros DAP and my Eggo D77s (which are pretty close to the D66s).

Will anyone bring a frigging laptop? I'm still looking for a "host" to try that Senn. MX500 experiment. But I might run out of money by the time the meeting takes place. Hahah!

And I have no good cans.

Times like these, a 15 year old should hurry up and get his workman's compensations board license and look for a nice job.

But if I can get those PX200's for $40...

^ you want PX200's? Personally that was one of the most disappointing purchases I made. Same drivers as the PX100, but it has a closed back and leather type pads meant to isolate somewhat. Those drivers definitely do not respond well to be trapped in an environment without moving air.

Plus I hated mine since I got them used and they smelled like cigarettes...

I'll bring an iHP-120, though I can't gaurantee the music I have in there will be stuff you like, most of it is lossless.

Well, I guess I can bring my laptop as well, and you guys can load some songs on there.

If that is the case, I will have to dismiss the Sony MDR-SA5000 because I will very likely be busing to the wicked cafe.

Well, Aliacha says he'll bring his iRiver, so maybe you'd be better off bringing the SA5000s, I guess many people would like to hear them...

aliacha: that's great, if you bring the USB cable I'll rip some of my reference CDs to my laptop and bring it along so we can upload.
