anyone know if it is possible?? it seems as if they are glued or molded onto the plastic rings..

Not to hijack but does anyone know is they sell the rubber caps on top of the rods anywhere. Somehow one disappeared from my SR80s

I don't think they do. Ask Grado though. How hard is it for them to send you a piece of rubber?

I'm curious to know how you were able to remove the rod.

Concerning the rubber tip: Contact Grado. They sent me a pair free of charge.
